Monsoon Society

is a gathering of publics from Southeast Asia, South China and India, South Pacific and Asian diasporas. We initiate regular talks, workshops, kitchen-sharing sessions, performances, and other activities to irrigate a regional consciousness demarcated by the tropical monsoon system. We wish to share the rich varieties of food, languages, beliefs, arts, and concerns among ourselves and wider publics. Monsoonal winds are in constant flux, sensitive to the vagaries of climate and topography. They are seasonal, bringing bountiful rain to agricultural regions. Yet, they are both in movement and constant.
